On Thursday, staff members from State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company provided guidance to equipment manufacturers in the construction of the distributed energy storage project, which was launched by Anhui Nantai Plastic Industry in Xiaoxian Economic Development Zone in Suzhou, Anhui province.

The project, as the first energy storage station in the Suzhou area, adopts lithium iron phosphate battery cells. Covering an area of 250 square meters and with a total investment of approximately 7.2 million yuan ($993,802), it is projected to store four megawatt-hours of electricity at one time and can receive about 1.2 million kilowatt-hours of new energy annually.

Once completed and operational, it will greatly alleviate the peak load in summer and promote the development of the power grid in the Suzhou area.

Currently, the State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company is actively following up on the project construction, assigning coordination with the project managers and participating throughout to resolve technical problems encountered during the construction process. The staff members provided guidance to users to submit records to relevant government departments and made grid-connected proposals. A green channel has also been opened to provide regular technical guidance for line construction.
