In the west wing of Zhangjiang Science Hall in Shanghais Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park on July 20, a special “science party” covering the cutting-edge technology of artificial intelligence reverberated throughout the complex — with participants made up of a group of young students.

The workshop aims to educate young people on AI technology principles and applications, highlighting the major potential and wide-ranging opportunities of AI-generated content, also known as AIGC, according to its organizers. The event also addresses the ethical and legal implications of AI applications.

Chen Wenjuan, a professor at Communication University of China, delivered a lesson titled “Deepfake – Fraudulent Techniques in the Future World” and aimed at nurturing students to become future advocates and practitioners of technology for the greater good.
