The 8th McHappy Run, organized by McDonald’s China, was held in Beijing Garden Expo recently, with nearly 10,000 parents and children participating to support Ronald McDonald House.

This year, nearly 25,000 families, consisting of 60,000 parents and children, participated in McHappy Run across 20 cities nationwide.

Funds raised from the event will be transferred to the “Ronald McDonald House Charities of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation” (RMHC) to support the operation and construction of Ronald McDonald House on the Chinese mainland.

Adelaide Gu, chief impact officer of McDonald’s China and co-director of RMHC, said, “We are delighted to have gathered everyone’s warmth and support for McHappy Run, letting more people understand the significance of ‘Ronald McDonald House’, and encouraging them to join us in helping sick children and families seeking medical treatment in different places.”

The Ronald McDonald House aims to provide free accommodation and care services for families with children seeking medical treatment in different places, creating a “home away from home”.

By the end of 2023, three Ronald McDonald Houses had served over 1,290 families and provided over 58,000 nights of accommodation.
