The BMW Group is showcasing over 15 electric models bearing its BMW and MINI logos at the Paris Motor Show, which represents the German premium carmaker's most powerful and complete EV lineup.
In the spotlight are the BMW Vision Neue Klasse and the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, which are making a joint public appearance for the first time.
BMW said these two vehicles embody the group's vision for the future of its two most successful core product lines—sport sedans and Sports Activity Vehicles.
It added that the Neue Klasse is poised to redefine the BMW brand as a pioneer of innovation, with its groundbreaking features being incrementally applied across all future BMW models.
The Neue Klasse models are set to start global production next year. In China, the first Neue Klasse model will be produced by 2026, with the local R&D team set to start road testing in the coming year.
The BMW Group's extensive range of BEVs, coupled with their robust product strength, have garnered positive acclaim in the market.
For the first nine months of this year, its EV sales saw a notable increase of 19.1 percent, with those bearing the BMW marque experiencing a growth of 22.6 percent.
In the Chinese market, the cumulative sales of the carmaker's new energy vehicles are projected to hit 400,000 units this month.
